How to Play Multiplayer PSP on a TV

The Sony PlayStation Portable has a slew of multiplayer games that use the PSP's wireless networking capabilities to connect to other players around the world. To enrich the gaming experience even more, you can connect the PSP to your TV with the PSP video-out cable. Only second-generation and later models have this capability.

Instructions

    • 1

      Turn on your PSP and connect the "Video Out" cable to the PSP video-out port on the lower left side of the device.

      Turn off your TV and locate the TV's video-in. This can be located on the rear, front or side of the TV.

      Insert the PSP video-out cable into the TV's video-in port. The TV will not recognize the PSP right away. Turn your TV to the corresponding video channel.

      Hold the "Display" button down on the PSP for five seconds. The PSP screen will turn off and transfer its video through the video-out cable into the TV.

      Insert your PSP multiplayer game into the PSP drive and it will start automatically. Select "Multiplayer" or "Network Gaming" to start up the multiplayer.
