Things You'll Need
Instructions
Connect your PSP to your computer with the USB cable and select "USB Connection" from the PSP main menu. A window will appear on your computer. You will have access to your PSP memory stick.
Download Portable VNC for the PSP from the resource link. This is a free program and, as of mid 2010, is the only program of its kind for the PSP. Right-click the file after it has downloaded. Click "Copy."
Open the PSP memory stick and locate the "GAME" folder. Right-click the "GAME" folder and click "Paste." This will transfer the VNC program onto the PSP. Disconnect the PSP from the computer.
Download a second piece of software from the resource section. This is called TightVNC and is the only VNC server that works with the PSP. Install the software on your computer.
Open TightVNC and enter in a password in the password box of the main menu. This is the password you will use from your PSP to sign into the server. Click "OK."
Browse through the PSP menu and select the VNC viewer from the game section. Press the "X" button to proceed in making a new host for the server. Enter in your computer's IP address. You can get the IP address from resting the mouse on the TightVNC icon on your computer's notification tray.
Select which operating system your computer is running. Your choices are Windows, Mac and Linux. Enter the password you made in step five. Your PSP will connect to your computer via the VNC server. Use your PSP's directional pad to move the computer mouse and the "X" button to click.
