How to Put Music on a PSP for GTA

"Grand Theft Auto," or "GTA," is a popular video games series offered for a variety of gaming platforms. On the PSP version of the game, "GTA: Vice City Stories," users can upload personal music files to play while driving any of the vehicles in the game. The game's creators provide a free online download of the software required to convert the music files. Properly convert and transfer your files to the PSP and enjoy your customized game soundtrack.

Instructions

      Click the free download link for the Rockstar Custom Tracks application by following the link in References.

      Click the "Save" option to save the download to your computer. Once the download is complete, launch the installation software and follow the on-screen wizard to complete installation of the application.

      Insert a music CD into your computer's CD drive.

      Launch the Rockstar Customized Soundtrack application on your computer.

      Select "Copy Tracks," then select a "Save" location for the converted music files.

      Connect your PSP to the computer using the USB cable.

      Insert the Memory Stick Pro Duo into the PSP while it is off, then turn it on.

      Scroll to the left and select the "USB Connection" option under the "Settings" menu on the PSP.

      Click the "Start" menu on your computer and open "My Computer">"Removable Drive">"MUSIC">"Custom Tracks."

      Open the saved location of the converted music files from the CD on your computer.

      Drag and drop the saved files into the "Custom Tracks" folder. The computer will transfer the files onto the PSP's memory card. Once the transfer is complete, disconnect the PSP from the computer.
