How to Transfer Video to a PSP-3000

Sony PlayStation Portables, including the PSP-3000 slim model, are capable of storing and playing video content. Compatible video formats include MP4, AVI, and H.264. If you have videos on your computer, you can connect your PSP and transfer them--enabling you to watch your favorite movies on the road.

Instructions

      Ensure that your PSP is running the most recent firmware. You can do this by selecting the "System Update" option from the "Settings" tab in the PSP's menu.

      Download and install Sony's Media Go software on your computer (see References for download link). This software allows you to organize and transfer content from your computer onto your PSP.

      Open Media Go and click "File." Select "Import" to import the videos from your computer that you want to transfer to your PSP.

      Connect your PSP to your computer with the USB cable. Go to the "Settings" tab on the PSP and select "USB Connection."

      Select the videos that you want to transfer to your PSP in Media Go.

      Make sure that "MyPSP" is selected in the selection box at the bottom of the window and press "Go" to transfer the files to your PSP. Videos will be stored under the "Video" tab in the PSP's Xross Media Bar.
