How to Convert Games From CD-ROM to PSP

Create PSX ISO File

  Download Imgburn, Nero or Magic ISO Maker from the resource section and install it. Insert your PSX game into your computer's CD-Rom.

  Open Imgburn and click "Create image file from disk." Click the "Destination" icon and select a place to save the ISO file. Click the "Start" button to create the ISO file.

  Open Nero and click "Disk Backup" from the main menu. Click "Destination" and click "Image recorder" from the list that appears. Click "Browse" and select a place to save the ISO file. Click "Burn" and Nero will create an ISO file from the disk that is inserted in the computer optical drive.

  Open Magic ISO Maker and select the drive that your PSX disk is in from the left side of the main menu. Click the "Save" button and select a place to save the ISO file. Click "OK" and the ISO will be created.

Converting the ISO to an Eboot

  Download PSX2PSP and double-click the file after it has downloaded. The program will open as it does not need to be installed. Click "ISO/PBP" and a window will appear. Select the ISO that Imgburn created and click "OK."

  Click the "Output" button and select a place to save the PSP game file after the ISO has been created. Click "Convert" and the PSP game file will be created.

  Turn on your PSP and connect it to your computer with a USB cable. Select "USB Connection" from the PSP menu. Locate the folder where you selected as the ouput for PSX2PSP. Right-click the folder and click "Copy."

  Open the PSP memory stick from the computer and open the "PSP" folder. Right-click the "GAME" folder and click "Paste" to transfer the game. Disconnect the PSP from the computer after the transfer completes.

  Locate the game section on your PSP menu and you will see your PSX game there. Select it to begin playing.
