Things You'll Need
Instructions
Search your computer for the folder containing the photos you wish to convert. It may be helpful to keep this folder open and minimize it.
Connect your PSP system to the computer with a five-pin mini-B connector USB cable. This particular cable has a small "B" side and a large "A" side. The smaller end connects to the PSP port, while the larger end connects to a standard USB 2.0 connector port on your computer.
Select "USB Connection" on your PSP system settings menu. This will prepare your PSP to receive the chosen photos. Set your PSP aside without disconnecting the USB cable.
Select the appropriate drive to access your PSP device. In most computer operating systems, the drive assignment is immediately visible upon plug-in.
Create a new folder inside the PSP drive titled "PHOTOS," exactly as shown, if it does not already exist. If a "PHOTOS" folder is already present, it will become visible once you are able to browse the drive that was assigned to your PSP.
Open the minimized window containing the photos you selected. Do not close the PSP drive window.
Select and drag your chosen photos from your folder to your PSP drive "PHOTOS" folder. In most computer systems, this will initiate an automatic copy function and will not delete your photos from their original location. While the photos are transferred, the PSP will display a line swiveling back and forth under the words "USB Connection," indicating transfer progress of the photos.
Close all open folders when the process completes. You will be notified on both your PSP system and computer when the photos have been copied successfully to the PSP system "PHOTOS" file folder.
Disconnect your PSP system from your computer. You can do this by disconnecting the USB cable. Alternately, you may press the "Cancel" button, which is visible on the screen of your PSP system.
Verify the photos converted successfully. Access the PSP's "Photo" section under the PSP's main menu. This is where the photos will be visible on your PSP system.
