How to Get to the Other Side of the Map in Grand Theft Auto Vice City Stories

The second Grand Theft Auto game for the Sony PSP, "Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories" revisits the Vice City game world to explore a different side of the 1980s-inspired sandbox gameplay. Later released on the Playstation 2, "GTA: Vice City Stories" follows the life of Vic Vance, brother to "GTA: Vice City" character Lance Vance. Throughout the story, players are taken all over the Miami-inspired Vice City. As the game is split over two islands, certain conditions must be met before full access to the city is available.

Instructions

  Play through the story missions until Lance Vance's missions become available. Lance's missions become available after completing the fifth Louise Williams mission "Hose the Hoes."

  Complete Lance Vance's missions until you reach his fifth mission, "From Zero to Hero."

  Begin "From Zero to Hero." This mission involves protecting Lance while he steals a drug shipment from the dock. Sergeant Martinez, the owner of the shipment, will pursue you in a helicopter as you protect Lance. During the course of the ensuing chase, you will cross the bridge to the second island, achieving a four-star wanted level. Keep close watch on the damage level of your truck, it must survive the chase to complete the mission.

  Continue following Lance. Avoid the police and helicopter long enough to reach the helipad with the drug shipment still intact. Upon completion of the mission, you will receive $3,000 and the second island of Vice City will be open.
