Remove the battery and memory stick from the PSP. The battery compartment is located on the rear, while the card reader is on the left side of the device.
Insert the magic memory stick into the PSP card reader. This has the firmware on it that will be reflashed to the device.
Insert the Pandora battery into the PSP battery compartment and the PSP will turn on automatically. The PSP is now in service mode.
Press the "X" button two times to reflash the firmware to the PSP. Press the "X" button one more time to power down the PSP when the installation completes and the screen reads "100%."
Remove the Pandora battery and magic memory stick from the PSP and reinsert the normal ones that you removed in step 1. Turn the PSP back on. You will be presented with the PSP main menu.
Plug your PSP into the charger and select the "System Update" option from the PSP main menu. This will update your PSP to the most recent firmware update and your PSP will be fixed.
