Turn your PSP on and connect it to your computer with the USB cable. Select "USB Connection" from the PSP menu and a window will appear on the computer screen. You will have access to the PSP memory stick on the computer.
Download the Pandora Installer software from the Resources section of this guide. It is free and it will softmod your PSP battery. The software will be saved on your computer in a folder named "pan3xx." Right-click this folder and click "Copy."
Open the PSP memory stick and open the "PSP" folder. Right-click the "GAME" folder and click "Paste" to transfer the software onto the PSP. Press the "O" button on the PSP to safely disconnect the PSP from the computer.
Select the software in the PSP menu game section, making sure the battery that you want to mod is in the PSP. When the software menu comes up on the PSP, select "Battery Options." Select "Make Battery Pandora" to softmod the battery into a Pandora battery. Select "Quit" to exit the program and complete the process.
