Power on your PSP 3000 and navigate to "Settings."
Press the "X" button on your PSP 3000 to select "Network Settings" from the Settings menu.
Select "Infrastructure Mode" and press "X."
Select "New Connection" and press "X."
Highlight "Scan" and press the right directional button. The PSP 3000 will then scan for nearby networks.
Select the network that you want to use. All available networks will be listed, along with whether or not they are secured and their signal strength. Press "X" to select the network.
Highlight the type of security you will use (e.g., "None" or "WPA"). This is dependent on the security of the particular network you are connecting to. For more information on the type of security you should use, contact the person who configured the network. Select the type and press "X." If you selected a security type, enter the security key or code for the network when prompted.
Select "Easy" for "Address Settings." This will configure a basic Internet setup.
Enter a name for the connection, or you can use the default name.
Save your settings by pressing "X." Test the connection by highlighting this option when prompted. You should be able to access the Internet on your PSP 3000.
