How Do You Use Toothpaste to Remove Scratches From a PSP Screen?

If your Sony PSP is "well-loved," or it has just been dropped a few times, you will start to notice scratches all over your screen. Scratches make your PSP screen constantly look dirty and murky, causing your game play to suffer or your head to start pounding from squinting to see your game. Fortunately, there is a way to remove these nasty scratches, and it is with the same substance you use to fight cavities: toothpaste. Baking-soda toothpaste is a mild abrasive, which effectively "sands" off the very thin layer that contains the scratches on your PSP screen.

Things You'll Need

• Baking soda toothpaste
• Cotton swab
• Microfiber cloths

     Squeeze a pea-sized amount of baking soda toothpaste onto the end of a cotton swab.

     Spread the toothpaste over the PSP screen lightly with the cotton swab until the entire screen is covered. Avoid the crevice around the outside of the screen. Let the toothpaste sit for about one minute.

     Rub the toothpaste over the screen in a circular motion using a microfiber cloth, such as those used for cleaning eyeglasses. Rub until most of the toothpaste has been wiped off.

     Wipe away the remaining toothpaste with a clean microfiber cloth.
