Download Sony Creative Software's Media Go program from the link in the Resources section below. Install the program to the desired directory on your personal computer, and open the program once the installation process has completed.
Insert a Memory Stick Duo into the dedicated port on the bottom left side of your PSP console. This memory is where your compressed video files will eventually store, so ensure that you have sufficient free space on the card by selecting "Videos" and then the "Memory Stick" option. You will see the amount of free space available displayed on screen.
Connect your PSP to your PC using the PSP to PC USB cable, plugging the "Mini-B" or smaller end into the PSP and the "Standard-A" into a free USB port on your personal computer. Select the "Settings" option from the PSP's main menu screen, and highlight "USB Connection," then press the X button to initiate communication between your PSP and computer.
Use the Media Go program to automatically compress your video files and transfer them to your PSP. Do so by adding them to the media library in the program window, either using the menu at the upper left of the screen or simply copying and pasting the video files into the library window. Compress and move the video files to your PSP by clicking the transfer button between Media Go's two main windows.
Disconnect the USB cable from your PSP and from your computer. Remove your PSP from "USB Connection" mode by pressing the O button. Navigate to the "Videos" option on the main screen and once again select the "Memory Stick" option. Press X to view the newly compressed video files which are now ready for playback on your PSP console.
