Connect your PSP to your computer using a Mini-B 5-pin type USB cable and turn it on.
Choose the "USB connection" option on the PSP's menu.
Allow your computer time to recognize your PSP as an additional form of USB storage.
Choose "Open Folder to View Files Using Windows Explorer" from the menu that appears on your computer's screen. This will allow you to browse and edit files on the PSP as if they were normal computer folders.
Open the "MUSIC" folder on the PSP using the computer's file browser. You should see all of the music files that you have transferred to your PSP inside of this folder.
Right-click inside the "MUSIC" folder, select "New" and choose "Folder" from the menu. This will create a new folder inside of the "MUSIC" folder.
Name your new folder with the name of one of the music artists.
Find the music file in the "MUSIC" folder that corresponds with this artist.
Click on the music file with the left mouse button and hold the mouse button down as you drag the music file into the folder with the artist's name.
Release the mouse button to drop the music file into the folder.
Continue to create new folders for all of the music artists you need.
Drag and drop music files into those folders until you have organized your PSP music files by artist.
