Purchase a Hybrid Pandora battery from a video game store or hobby shop (see the link in Resources). Press the button on the Hybrid Pandora battery for 10 seconds so that the blue LED lights up to indicate that it is ready to hack your PSP.
Put a soft cloth on a table. Put the PSP face-down on the soft cloth with the disc drive door facing away from you. Open the memory card compartment on the edge of the right side. Remove the memory card.
Pull the battery compartment lid off the left side of the PSP. Pull the battery out of the battery compartment.
Insert the Hybrid Pandora battery into the battery compartment. Close the battery compartment lid.
Turn the PSP over on the soft cloth with the disc drive door facing away from you.
Push up on the power switch at the lower right corner of the PSP for a second. Release the power switch.
Wait as the Pandora hacking screen appears on the PSP̵7;s LCD. Follow the menu commands to change the firmware that is the PSP̵7;s operating system.
Reboot the PSP when told to do so. Turn off the PSP when told to do so. The PSP is now hacked and can have programs, including those not approved by Sony, installed through the memory card.
Turn the PSP face-down on the soft cloth. Remove the battery compartment lid.
Remove the Hybrid Pandora battery from the battery compartment.
Press the button on the Hybrid Pandora battery so that the white LED lights up to indicate that the battery can now be used normally to power the PSP.
Put the Hybrid Pandora battery back into the battery compartment. Put the battery compartment lid back on.
