How to Fix a PRX Error on a PSP

The PRX file extension is associated with PSP application plugins that are used with PSPs running custom firmware. Sometimes you will get an error when trying to use them. This error occurs when the PSX file is not stored in the proper place on the PSP memory stick. There is a simple fix for this.

      Turn on your Sony PSP and connect it to your computer with the USB cable. Select "USB Connection" from the PSP menu and a window will appear on the computer screen. You will see the files and folders on your PSP memory stick.

      Locate your PRX plugins and right-click them. Click "Copy." On the PSP memory stick, locate the "SEPlugins" folder. If this is not on your PSP memory stick, right-click an open area on the memory stick and click "New" and "Folder." Name it "SEPlugins."

      Right-click the "SEPlugins" folder and click "Paste" to transfer the PRX files to the proper plugin folder. Press the "Circle" button on the PSP gamepad to disconnect the PSP safely from the computer when the transfer completes.
