Navigate to the Sony warranty website (See Resources). Select the model number from the first drop-down menu. If you are not sure which model it is, turn your PSP over and look on the bottom edge to find the model number. The original PSP has a model number of PSP1001.
Insert the serial number of the PSP. This number can be located inside the battery bay. Remove the battery to reveal the serial number. Select "Continue" and select "Screen" from the next page. Describe what problem you are having with your PSP in the box above the security code. Input the security code and click "Continue."
Read the first box of information. This will state if your PSP is still under warranty. If it is, input your customer information and click "Continue." Input the shipping information. Sony will send you the packaging to ship your PSP back to the company for repair.
Click "Continue" and click "Authorize" to verify all of the information you just entered. A box will be shipped to you with paid postage. Place your PSP into the box without its peripherals (battery, charger and games). Your PSP screen will be fixed for free.
