How to Put Computer Games Onto a PSP

The Sony PSP gives players access to a large library of games designed specifically for the device, as well as older games playable via the company's PlayStation Network service. But by using homebrew applications like DOSBox, it's possible to extend the capabilities of your PSP. With DOSBox, this means turning your PSP into a portable PC emulator capable of playing many games from the golden age of DOS gaming.

      Download DOSBox Easy Navigator from the site in the "Resources" section and unzip to your desktop.

      Connect your PSP to your computer via the USB cable. Turn the system on and navigate to the "System" section. Select "USB Connection."

      Copy all files from the zip file created in step 1 to the root directory of your PSP.

      Copy DOS games you wish to play on your PSP to the DOSBox's "Games" folder, found within the "DOSBox" directory. A large selection of DOS games can be found at the site in the "Resources" section.

      Eject and remove your PSP and disconnect the USB cable. Reset the console.

      Start DOSBox from the "Game" menu of your PSP's main menu. Select the game you wish to play using the D-pad and "L" and "R" buttons of your PSP, then launch with the "Cross" button.
