Clearing Corrupted Data
Plug the regular USB end of your PSP data cable into your computer. This cable should have come with your PSP console when you bought it.
Turn your PSP on and choose "USB Mode" from the left-hand side of the media bar on start up. Everything on your Pro Duo 2gb will be displayed on your computer screen.
Wait until the "PSP Contents Window" appears on your computer screen. This is very similar to how the contents window of a flash drive appear when you plug it into your computer.
Select all of the files by right-clicking and choosing "Select All" from the small window on your computer screen.
Drag all of the files to your computer's "Trash Can" or "Recycling Bin."
Press the "Circle" button your PSP console to exit out of USB mode. Your Pro Duo 2gb has cleared all of the corrupted data on the drive.
Releasing Memory
Plug your Pro Duo 2gb into your PSP and turn on the console.
Scroll the media bar on the PSP's "Home" screen until you have found a folder that contains files you no longer use or files that take up too much data.
Press the "X" key to go into the folder.
Choose the file by pressing the "Triangle" key on the PSP. Select "Delete" from the menu and press the "X" key.
Press the "X" key again to confirm that you want to delete the file from your Pro Duo 2gb.
