Download the 1.50.pbp file. Rename the 1.50.pbp file to "UPDATE.PBP." Connect your PSP to your computer with the USB cable and select "USB Connection" to place the PSP into USB mode. A window will appear on your computer and you will be able to see the PSP memory stick files.
Download the downgrade pack. Open the "MS_ROOT" folder from the downgrade pack. Right-click the "PSP" folder and click "Copy." Go back to the PSP memory stick and right-click it. Click "Paste" and "Yes" to overwrite the data.
Right-click the UPDATE.PBP file that you downloaded in step one and click "Copy." Open the "PSP" folder on the PSP memory stick and you will see the "GAME" folder. Open this folder to reveal the "UPDATE" folder. Right-click the "UPDATE" folder and click "Paste" to transfer the update file to your PSP memory stick. The downgrade pack and 1.50 update file are on the PSP memory stick. Press the "O" button to safely disconnect the PSP from your computer.
Insert the Lumines PSP game into the PSP drive. Select the game from the PSP menu to start. Press the "Start" button when you get to the Lumines start screen. Your screen will blink red and will turn completely blue. You will be brought back to the PSP screen. It is important to not press any buttons before you get to the Lumines start screen.
Go to the game section of the PSP menu and you will now be able to see the "x.yz update" application. Select it with the "X" button to start it. Press the "X button from the main menu to start the downgrading process. Press "X" again to reboot the PSP when the downgrade has completed. You have now downgraded your PSP to 1.50 firmware.
