How to Change Internet Settings in a PSP

The PlayStation Portable (PSP) is a hand-held video game console manufactured by Sony that allows players to access a wireless Internet connection. You can use the connection to play multi-player games online, browse websites or download PSP content. Before using the Internet with the PSP, you must establish a wireless connection through the use of a wireless router or a free Wi-Fi access point. After setting up your Internet account, you can manually apply any changes to the Internet settings.

  Turn on your PSP to access the main menu. Use the control pad on your PSP to select the "Settings" option and then press the "Down" button until you reach the "Network Settings" option.

  Press the "X" button to enter the "Network Settings" page. Select the "Infrastructure Mode" option by pressing the "X" button.

  Use your directional pad to select the connection that you want to make changes to. Press the "X" button to enter the settings for the wireless Internet connection.

  Select the "Custom" option by pressing the "X" button and change any of the Internet settings to meet your preferences. Press the "Circle" button at any time to cancel an item or go back to a previous page.

  Select the "Save" option at the end of the "Settings List" page and your Internet settings will be saved.
