Things You'll Need
Instructions
Insert a Memory Stick Duo into the port located on the bottom left side of your PSP. This is your PSP's storage device, and is the eventual destination of the MP4 videos you will be saving to your PSP for viewing. If you're using a flip-open PSPgo model, you don't need to worry about the Memory Stick Duo, as this console has internal memory.
Connect your PSP to your personal computer using the USB cable. The small, trapezoid-shaped end will fit into the port at the base of your PSP and you can plug the USB end into an open port on your PC.
Set your PSP into "USB Connection" mode by scrolling to the far left drop-down menu of the console's main screen and selecting this option. You will see a confirmation screen on your PSP notifying you that your console is in communication with your computer. Your PC will detect the PSP's memory and display it on the main drive.
Locate the MP4 video files you wish to save to your PSP on your computer. Open the directory for your PSP's Memory Stick Duo on your computer's main drive, and then open the sub-folder entitled "Video." Copy and paste (or drag and drop) the MP4 video files from the directory where they are stored on your computer into the "Music" folder. The transfer process may take a few minutes, depending on how large your MP4 video files are.
Disconnect the USB cable from your PSP and computer after the transfer process is complete. Enter the "Video" option on your PSP's main menu. Beneath this, you will see another icon--"Memory Stick." Highlight this icon and press the "X" button to view the MP4 video files which are now stored to your PSP. To view them, simply select the file you want, and press the X button--video playback will begin.
