How to Use an AV to Hook Up a PSP to a TV

The Sony PSP was released in 2005, but it was not able to be connected to an external display. Sony subsequently released the PSP Slim, which had a video-out port on the side of the PSP. Now you can comfortably sit and play your PSP while enjoying the visuals on your home TV screen.

Instructions

      Turn on the Sony PSP and wait for it to boot into the PSP operating system, called the XMB. Locate the video-out port on the left side of the PSP.

      Connect your PSP video-out cable to the PSP video-out port. Connect the other end of the cable to your TV composite ports and turn the TV on. Navigate through the PSP menu until you get to the "Connected Display Settings." Select it.

      Select "Switch Video Output" from this menu and verify that you want to switch to the TV as the primary display for the PSP. Your PSP is now using your TV as the display.
