Insert the memory card into the memory card slot on the PSP.
Release the disc drive door latch on the top of the PSP Slim. Pull the disc drive door to its fully opened position. Insert a just-released PSP game disc into the disc drive. Close the disc drive door.
Turn the on PSP Slim. Wait for the firmware menu to appear on the LCD screen. Select "Update" from the firmware menu. Press the "X" button on the PSP Slim. Wait as the firmware with the Skype program in it updates the PSP Slim. Turn off the PSP Slim when the menu tells you to do so.
Release the disc drive door latch on the top of the PSP Slim. Pull the disc drive door to its fully opened position. Remove the game disc from the disc drive. Close the disc drive door.
Turn on the PSP Slim. Push up on the network switch at the lower left side of the PSP. Wait for the Home menu to appear on the LCD screen.
Plug the PSP headset into the headphone port on the bottom left edge of the PSP Slim.
Navigate to the "Network" icon. Select the "Skype" icon beneath "Network." Select "Contacts" from the list of choices presented to the right of the "Skype" icon. Press the 'X" button.
Select "New contact" in the column that appears to the right of "Contacts." Enter the name of a person who has a Skype phone number in the "Name" field.
Select the "Save" icon. Press the "X" button to save the contact. Select "Return" to go back to the Home menu.
Select "Contacts" from the list of choices presented to the right of the "Skype" icon.
Select the name of a person from the list to the right of "Contacts" who is presently online. Press the "X" button to call the person.
Put on the headset. Talk to the person when she answers the Skype phone call.
To end the phone call, select "Disconnect" from the list of choices presented beneath the "Skype" icon. Press the "X" button to disconnect the Skype phone call. Remove the headset. Turn off the PSP.
