Things You'll Need
Instructions
Press any button on the console to revive it. If the Backlight Auto-Off setting or Auto-Sleep setting is enabled, the console's screen will shut off on its own after a period of inactivity. These settings are easily adjusted using the "Power Options" menu under the "Settings" tab on the PSP's home menu.
Examine the screen closely for any cracks or severe physical damage. A cracked screen can cause it to black out. If this is the case for your console, it needs to be sent in for repair or replacement. A cracked or physically damaged PSP screen is not covered under warranty.
Connect the PSP's power adapter to the console's power input and plug the other end of the adapter to any working power outlet. Let the console charge completely (a small light turns on when the console's plugged in and turns off when it's finished charging).
Power on the console and press the "Display" button to adjust the screen brightness. The "Display" button is found next to the "PSP" logo on the front of older PSP models. It's located next to the "L" button on PSPgo models. Press the button several times for different levels of brightness.
