How to Play ISO Games on PSP Slim

The Sony PSP comes with many features but even more can be added with custom firmware. One popular feature is its ability to play games directly from the memory stick without any disc. These games will come in ISO format, or an exact copy of the original PSP game disc. These kinds of PSP games are considered homebrew and are created by independent developers, just like custom firmware. Firmware is what runs the PSP, and installing custom firmware is simple.

Turn off your Sony PSP Slim by sliding the power button up for two seconds and wait as the PSP boots down. Remove the PSP battery and memory stick from their respective places and put them aside.

Insert your Magic memory stick with the custom firmware into the PSP card reader and insert the Pandora battery into the PSP battery cradle. Your PSP Slim will now turn on all by itself and display white text on a black screen.
