Instructions

  1. Enabling WMA Playback With Windows Media Player on a PSP

    • 1

Connect your PSP to a wireless access point by entering the \"Network Settings\" menu on the far left. You will be prompted to select an available wireless connection, and if applicable, enter the encryption key (password) for the network you choose.

    • 2

Once you are connected to a wireless internet access point, return to the \"Network Settings\" menu on your PSP game console. You will see an option plainly titled: \"Enable WMA Playback.\" Read the user license agreement, and select \"Accept\" to enable the playback of WMA files.

    • 3

Now that you've enabled playback of audio files normally used on your Windows Media Player, you must transfer them to your PSP. Connect your PSP USB cable to your handheld console, and plug the other end into a free USB port on your computer. Select the \"USB Mode\" option from the main menu at the left of the screen.

    • 4

Enter the folder on your computer in which you store your Windows Media Player audio files, and also open the PSP folder on your C:\\ drive. Ensure that you have a Memory Stick Duo inserted in your PSP, where the files will be stored. The destination folder for your WMA files on your PSP's memory is labeled \"MUSIC\" on your computer window.

    • 5

Drag and drop the WMA files you wish to transfer from their origin folder on your computer to the \"MUSIC\" folder on your PSP's menu. Depending on how many WMA files you wish to transfer, the process may take a few minutes. After the files are successfully transferred, you can disable your PSP's USB connection, remove the USB cable, and locate the WMA files on your PSP's main menu screen beneath \"Music.\" Select the WMA files to listen to, and the audio playback will begin.
