How to Connect a PSP to the Internet Via a PS3

If you want to access the Internet on your PSP at home and you don't have a router, you can use the PSP's remote play feature to access your PSP's Internet browser. Setting up remote play to work with a PSP is a very simple process and will only take a few minutes. The Internet features on your PSP will not work unless remote play is engaged.

Instructions

Turn on your PS3 and go to the "System" icon on the XMB. Then scroll down to "Settings" and press "X". Then select "Remote Play Settings" and then "Register Device."

    • 2

Turn on your PSP. The PSP and the PS3 should "find" each other. Then restart the PSP and select "Remote Play" from the menu. Then go back to the PS3 and select "Remote Play" from the network menu.

    • 3

On the PSP, Select "Connect via Private Network." A screen will pop up and you should see your PlayStation 3. Select it with the "X" button. You will then see the PS3's screen on your PSP and can access the Internet browser from the "Network" menu.
