Put a soft cloth on a table. Lay the PSP face down on the soft cloth with the disc door at the upper edge. Pull off the battery compartment lid at the left side with your fingers. Pull out the battery from inside of the battery compartment lid with your fingers.
Remove the three screws from inside of the battery compartment using the Phillips jeweler̵7;s screwdriver. Scratch off the sticker inside with the tip of the Phillips jeweler̵7;s screwdriver. Remove the screw that was concealed underneath the sticker with the Phillips jeweler̵7;s screwdriver.
Remove the screws from the bottom of the PSP that are at the top edge on either side of the disc drive and at the bottom middle edge using the Phillips jeweler̵7;s screwdriver. Turn the PSP face up on the soft towel.
Grab the faceplate on either side with your hands and pull it off.
Insert the tweezers beneath the left edge of the black metal bracket that is at the bottom of the PSP. Pull up on the tweezers. Repeat this procedure on the right side. Lift the black metal bracket off the PSP with tour fingers by lifting it up from the right side. Remove the cable attached to the motherboard using the tweezers.
Put the tip of the tweezers beneath the left edge of the LCD panel and pull up. Repeat this on the right edge of the LCD panel. Lift the LCD panel off the PSP with your fingers. Remove the cable attached to the motherboard using the tweezers.
Pull the Start/Select/Volume button bar off the PSP using the tweezers. Remove all of the screws surrounding the metal plate that is on top of the PSP using the Phillips jeweler̵7;s screwdriver. Lift the metal plate off the PSP with your fingers.
Remove the screw now exposed at the top left corner using the Phillips jeweler̵7;s screwdriver. Flip the pad to the right using your fingers. Pull the connector latch open that was under the pad with the tweezers.
Pry up the small circuit board that is at the upper right corner of the PSP using the tip of the Phillips jeweler̵7;s screwdriver. Pull the connector latch open that is at the bottom of the small circuit board with the tweezers to disengage the cable connected to the small circuit board.
Release the connector latch on the motherboard that the cable just released from the small circuit board using the tweezers. Pull the cable off the PSP. Release the connector latch on the motherboard that can now be seen from under the cable with the tweezers to reveal the two screws of the right speaker connection.
Carefully turn the two screws a half turn counter-clockwise each with the flat-edged jeweler̵7;s screwdriver.
Make a hole through the bottom right edge of the PSP with the utility knife.
Measure a half inch from the ends of the two wires that are connected to each of the two speakers with the ruler. Strip off the half inch of insulation from each of the ends of the two speakers with the wire strippers.
Write ̶0;L̶1; for left on the back of one speaker and ̶0;R̶1; for right on the back of the other speaker with the permanent silver marker.
Push the two right speaker wires through the hole in the bottom edge of the PSP. Wind one of the two right speaker wires around one of the screws. Tighten the screw with the flat-edged jeweler̵7;s screwdriver. Repeat this procedure with the other screw and the other right speaker wire.
Release the connector latch that is to the left of the two screws to reveal the two screws of the left speaker connection.
Push the two left speaker wires through the hole in the bottom edge of the PSP. Wind one of the two left speaker wires around one of the screws. Tighten the screw with the flat-edged jeweler̵7;s screwdriver. Repeat this procedure with the other screw and the other left speaker wire.
Reverse the disassembly process to reengage the connector latches and reattach the small circuit board, the cables, the metal plate and the Start/Select/Volume button bar.
Reverse the disassembly process to reattach the LCD panel and the black metal bracket.
Put the faceplate back onto the PSP, turn it over and attach the screws to the bottom.
Put the battery back into the battery compartment and the battery compartment lid back onto the PSP
Put bonding glue on the back of the left and right speakers. Place the back of the left and right speakers against the bottom of the PSP with the left speaker next to the battery compartment lid and the right speaker next to the right edge of the bottom of the PSP. Let the bonding glue set for a day.
Pick up the PSP. Turn it on. Move the volume control on the PSP to full volume and enjoy listening to the audio coming out of the speakers you have made for the PSP.
