How to Put Pictures on the PSP 3000

Among the PlayStation Portable's many functions, it also can act as a portable digital photo album. The PSP supports the JPEG, GIF, TIFF, BMP and PNG image file formats, which makes it a fairly dynamic viewable photo storage device. If you have images in any of these formats, you can upload them to your PSP and organize them into special albums you can view anywhere. The process is easy and takes about 10 minutes.

Instructions

    • 1

Load the memory stick into the PSP. If this is a new memory stick, you'll need to format it; the PSP automatically will help you do this. Just follow the onscreen prompts when you power it on and the system will do the rest.

    • 2

Use the USB cable to connect your PSP to your computer. Put the PSP in USB mode by navigating the XMB to Settings and selecting USB Connection. Your PSP may do this automatically; if it does, disregard this step. You'll see an icon in "My Computer" that represents the PSP memory stick. Double click it and find the "PICTURE" folder.

    • 3

Find the pictures you want to put on your PSP and drag-and-drop them from your computer to the "PICTURE" folder on the memory stick.

    • 4

Disconnect the PSP from the computer when the transfer is complete. You'll find the pictures under the Picture icon on the PSP XMB dashboard.
