How to Upload Movies to a PSP

The PlayStation Portable is not only used for playing video games but can play music as well as movies. You can watch movies on Universal Media Discs, but if you don't want to buy those, you can download movies to the PSP from your computer. The PSP is compatible with movies formatted in MPEG-4 and AVI.

  Check the PSP for available space. Insert your Memory Stick Micro or Memory Stick Pro Duo into the PSP. Turn your PSP on, then navigate to the "Video" (filmstrip) icon and select it. Then highlight your memory stick in the Video menu. Your free space will be displayed. If you have enough space for your video, you then can save it to your PSP.

  Put the PSP in USB mode. Go back to the main menu, then select the "Settings" menu. Select "USB" and then hit your "X" button to save your settings.

  Plug your PSP's USB cable into the device and into the computer's USB port. (Make sure your memory stick is still in the PSP.)

  Click on your "Start" menu. Then double-click on "My Computer."

  Double-click on the PSP Device folder. Then locate the "Video" folder. Then drag and drop your movie into the folder. Your movie will then upload to your PSP.
