How to Put a Password on PSP Internet

The Sony PSP is a gaming console and media center that allows the user to gain access to the Internet--the same Internet that we know can be a dangerous place with hackers and viruses, adult-oriented content and chat rooms where predators may frequent. Since the PSP is normally found in the hands of minors, parents may want to block them from the dangers of the Web.   Go to the "Home" menu and then choose "Settings."

  Go to "Security Settings" and press the "X" button to enter the menu.

  Go to "Internet Browser Start Control" and press the "X" button.

  Enter a four-digit password and you will return to the "Internet Browser Start Control" screen.

  Select "On" to password protect the Internet on the PSP and press the "X" button to confirm the settings. Now, every time there is an attempt to begin an Internet session on your PSP, the password you created must be provided in order to gain access to the Web.
