How to Connect Wireless Internet to a PSP

The Sony PlayStation Portable is a hand-held member of the seventh generation of home game consoles. The console has the ability to connect to the Internet via wireless router. You can use the PSP to download updates for the system, play games online and download music and movies. If you wish to connect your PSP to the Internet, the process is a simple one.

  Turn on your PSP. Select the "Settings" option in the PSP main menu.

  Select the "Network Settings" option in the settings menu.

  Select "Infrastructure Mode," then select the "New Connection" option.

  Select the "Scan" option in the "New Connection" menu to search for wireless access points.

  Select your wireless access point from the list.

  Press the "Right" button on the control pad to scroll through the settings for your wireless connection and make sure they are accurate.

  Enter the password for your wireless access point when prompted. Once you have entered your password, a connection test will begin. Once the test is completed, your PSP will be able to access the Internet.
