How Do I Add a Picture to My PSP Music File?

The Sony PSP is a powerful portable video game device that can do more than play games. It is a fully capable media viewing device. That means it can display photos, videos and play music. Normally your PSP displays your music as just text, but there is a way to display it as album artwork.

Instructions

    • 1

Turn on your Sony PSP and wait as it boots up. Connect the PSP to your computer with its USB cable. Your computer will automatically recognize the PSP device.

    • 2

Go to the "Music" folder on your PSP memory stick and locate the music you would like to add artwork to.

    • 3

Copy your artwork into the same folder as the music you want to link it to. If you have your music sectioned into folders by album, you can just place one copy of the artwork into the folder.

    • 4

Rename the file to match the name of the folder that each album is in. For example, if your music is in a folder named "Today" you will need to name the picture file "Today." To have individual music files linked to separate image files, rename the image file whatever the song is named.

Press the "O" button on your PSP to eject it from your computer. Disconnect the USB cable from the PSP. Navigate to the "Music" section of your PSP menu and you will see your music, now displayed as pictures.
