How Can I Play YouTube Movies on My PSP?

The PSP can access the Internet and go to websites such as YouTube and others that present movies. Because the PSP's operating system doesn't have the needed movie additions incorporated into it, you cannot normally watch a YouTube movie on it. There is a way around this, however, by using another website that will let you download a YouTube movie onto your PSP for viewing. The PSP does not have to be modified in any way, and the warranty will not be voided. It only takes a few minutes of preparation to be able to watch YouTube movies on the PSP.

Instructions

  Insert the PSP memory card into the memory slot on the PSP. Turn on the PSP. Slide the WiFi network switch up on the left side of the PSP to turn it on. Wait for the home menu screen to appear.

  Navigate to the "Network" tab and select the Internet browser. Enter "http://www.m.youtube.com" in the "Name" field using the onscreen keyboard. Click on "Enter" to exit the keyboard. Wait as the PSP connects to the YouTube website.

  Click on the "Search" icon. Enter the name of a movie you would like to watch in the "Name" column using the onscreen keyboard. Click on "Enter" to exit the keyboard

  Click once on the movie you want to watch from the list presented on the screen. Click on the movie's movie window in the new screen that appears. Write down the YouTube movie website's address on a piece of paper.

  Press the "Triangle" button on the PSP. Place the cursor into the "Address" field at the top of the window that appears. Press the "X" button.

  Press the "Start" button on the PSP after the new movie page appears. Wait as the movie page reloads.

  Go to the "Address" field at the top of the window. Enter "http://www.keepvid.com" in the field using the onscreen keyboard. Click "Enter" to exit the keyboard.

  Enter the YouTube movie's website's address that was written down in the "Address" field at the top of the website page. Press the "X" button. Enter the address and press the "X" button two more times as new pages appear.

  Press the "History" button once it appears next to the "Address" field. Continue pressing the "History" button until the link of the YouTube movie appears on the screen. Press the "Start" button on the PSP. Press the "Download" button on the web page.

  Exit the Internet browser when the download is completed. Go to the "Network" tab and select "Downloads." Select the YouTube movie and press "X" to watch it on the PSP.
