How Do I Access Free Internet on My PSP?

The PSP has wireless capabilities and a web browser for surfing the Internet. You can set up the PSP so that it can access the Internet without any charge when it locates a free-to-use, unlocked Wi-Fi connection. You will have to adjust a number of settings on the PSP so that the operating system knows to use these settings whenever accessing the Internet. The PSP is not modified in any way, nor is its warranty violated.

      Turn on the PSP. Flick the network switch on the lower left side to turn on the wireless feature. Navigate to "Network," "www.Internet browser" on the Home menu.

      Enter the web address of a search engine website, such as "www.google.com" or "www.yahoo.com" using the onscreen keyboard. Press the "X" button to initiate the search.

      Press the "O" button when text appears on the screen that says the PSP is connecting to the website.

      Select "New Connection" on the screen. Press the "X" button to go to a new screen. Select "Enter Manually" from the choices presented. Press the "X" button

      Enter "linksys" in the "SSID" column using the onscreen keyboard. Press the "Start" button.

      Press the "right" arrow of the direction pad once. Press the "X" button. Press the "X" button again.

      Press the "Up" arrow button of the direction pad once. Press the "Up" arrow button of the direction pad again. Press the "X" button.

      Wait as the search engine's website appears on the PSP screen. You can now access the Internet.
