How to Enable Wireless Internet Settings on a PSP

You can download games, browse websites, and listen to music on your PSP by using its Wi-Fi connection. Wi-Fi is easily enabled on the device by changing a few settings. Once you have Internet capability, you can also play against other PSP players in the same area, since you will both be connected to the same network.

Instructions

    • 1

      Power on your PSP.

    • 2

Flip the wireless access switch, which is found on the left corner of the device, or next to the UMD slot (depending on your model).

    • 3

Click on "Settings" on the main menu screen.

    • 4

      Select "Network Settings."

    • 5

Choose "Infrastructure Mode > New Connection."

    • 6

Click on "Scan" to allow your console to find the Internet connection automatically. Your home network name should be among the list of available connections.

    • 7

Click on your home network and enter the security password, if you have one.

    • 8

Hit "Save" to save your settings. Allow the PSP to test the connection and then start browsing.
