How to Put Movies on PSP From a PC

Like its PlayStation 3 cousin, the Sony PSP has the ability to play movies downloaded from the PlayStation Store or certain other video files. You can connect your PSP to the Internet and download movies straight from the PlayStation Store, or you can download movies to your PC and transfer them to your PSP. The latter requires that you have the Media Go application.

Instructions

    • 1

Download and install the Media Go software from the link in the "Resources" section of this article if you do not already have the software.

    • 2

Start up the Media Go application. If you are not prompted to upload files automatically, click "File" in the tool bar of the window and select "Library Folders."

    • 3

Select the folder that contains the media you wish to transfer to your PSP. This will most likely be the "My Videos" folder found in the "My Documents" folder on your computer.

Connect your PSP to your PC with the PSP's USB cable. Connect the small end of the USB cable to the top of the PSP and insert the larger end into an open USB port on your computer.

    • 5

Turn on your PSP and put it into USB mode by selecting "USB Connection" from the "Settings" tab in the Xross Media Bar.

    • 6

Click on the video file that you want to transfer in the Media Go library.

    • 7

Select your PSP system from the drop-down list at the bottom of the window, then click "Go" to transfer the video to your PSP.
