Things You'll Need
Instructions
Go to "Network Settings" on the drop-down menu at the far left of the XrossMediaBar of your PSP. Next, select "Infrastructure Mode." This will allow your PSP to connect to the Internet using a secured wireless access point.
Create a new connection by editing the "New Connection" option or select an existing connection. You can name a new connection whatever you want. Whether you are creating a new connection or you already have one that shows up, you can make sure it is secured momentarily.
Under the "WLAN Settings" menu, scan for available wireless connections by selecting "Scan." The PSP will find networks and display them on the following screen, followed by their respective signal strengths. Choose the secured network to which you want to connect.
Press the right directional button until you see the menu option "WLAN Security Setting." There are three options here: "WEP," "WPA-PSK (TKIP)" and "WPA-PSK (AES)." In order to know which to choose, check the type of security you have on your home wireless router or ask the person whose wireless connection you will be using.
Enter the WPA key (password) for the secured wireless network. If you do not know the password, check with the person who set up the wireless network to obtain the information. Press right and select "Easy" for quick Internet access, then save your secured connection. You now can connect your PSP to the Internet on a secured wireless network.
