How to Put Videos on PSP Without a Memory Stick

Both the PSP-Go and the PSP-4000 come with 16GB internal hard drives, eliminating the need for additional memory sticks. The older PSP models come with very little internal memory (32mb.) Because of this, don't expect to fit much in the way of video on the PSP without a memory stick. The PSP supports MPEG and AVI video formats.

Instructions

    • 1

Connect the PSP to your computer using the USB sync cable. Turn the PSP on. From the XMB Navigation Bar, scroll to the left to access the Settings menu. Select "USB Mode." Your computer will detect the PSP.

    • 2

Click the "Start" icon in the Windows taskbar. Select "My Computer." Double click "PSP/Removable Disk." Since there is no memory stick, the root storage directory (where all of the saved data is stored) of the PSP will open.

    • 3

Drag and drop the compatible video files into the root storage directory.
