How to Charge a PSP Battery for the First Time

A PlayStation Portable is a handheld gaming system made by Sony. It is a popular device for playing a huge library of UMD disc games, as well as listening to music and watching movies. When you first buy a PSP, the battery is not installed into the device and there is a good chance it has lost its charge while in the packaging. Charge your PSP battery before using the gaming system for the first time.

PlayStation Portable
PSP battery
AC Adaptor

  Remove the left-side back panel of the PSP. There are two panels on the back; this one is for the compartment for the battery.

  Install the battery into the compartment face up. Close the panel with the case covering.

  Connect the AC adapter's socket into the PSP's charging terminal, then insert the power cord extension onto the AC adapter's base. Afterward, plug the power cord into an outlet.
- 4
  Wait for the flashing green light on your PSP to turn to a full green light, indicating the battery is completely charged. This will take less than an hour.
