PSP Slim Information

The PSP Slim, or PSP Slim & Lite, is Sony's successor to the original PSP (PlayStation Portable). This model made its debut in 2007. Aside from an obvious size difference, there are many features that differ from the original model.

  1. Size

    • The PSP Slim is 33 percent lighter (dropping 99 grams) than the PSP. It is also 19 percent slimmer.

    Wi-Fi

    • The Wi-Fi is improved with the switch now located at the top of the PSP Slim with a stronger connection.

    RAM

    • Internal memory has been increased to 64 MB on the PSP Slim, allowing for more save data to be stored.

    Battery

    • Battery improvements include a new pack and ability for USB charging.

    Video Output

    • A new video output allows for connection between the PSP Slim and a television.

    D-Pad

    • An all-new directional pad was developed for PSP Slim, likening more to the PlayStation 3's.
