Kid Games for the PSP

The PSP is a handheld entertainment device manufactured by Sony. It can be used for listening to music, watching movies and playing video games. Unfortunately, many of the video games currently available on the market are rated "T" for teens. This makes them unsuitable for younger children. There are PSP games available, however, that are rated "E" for everyone and that younger children can play and enjoy.

LocoRoco
- "LocoRoco" is an "E" rated game that features a planet of colorful, round beings known as the LocoRoco. When their planet is invaded by the evil MojaTroop, the LocoRoco must find a peaceful way to stop the invasion. Children play by using the PSP controls to tilt the game screen and roll their LocoRoco characters across the landscape to complete various objectives and save the planet.
Gurumin
- In "Gurumin," players team up with friendly monsters to prevent an evil dragon from being unleashed on the world. "Gurumin" is an action role-playing game containing side quests, cut scenes and an alternate ending, thus increasing its replay value. Children can also participate in fun minigames to unlock secret items to help them progress through the game. "Gurumin" is rated "E."
Frogger: Helmet Chaos
- "Frogger: Helmet Chaos" follows Frogger, the old arcade favorite, as he attempts to save his swamp from an evil scientist who is outfitting all of the swamp creatures with mind-control helmets. Children play as Frogger through a colorful 3-D environment where they must battle enemies and solve puzzles to progress through the game. As an added bonus, "Frogger: Helmet Chaos" contains the original "Frogger" arcade game for nostalgic parents.
Spongebob Square Pants: Yellow Avenger
- Children will love playing as Spongebob to help Mermaidman and Barnacle Boy vanquish their arch nemesis the Dirty Bubble. In "Spongebob Square Pants: Yellow Avenger," Spongebob must use his newly found superpowers to save Bikini Bottom while also remembering his daily responsibilities such as feeding his pet snail, Gary, and turning in his homework. Because there is no voice acting, this title is best suited for children who have already learned to read.
Neopets: PetPet Adventures - The Wand of Wishing
- In "Neopets: PetPet Adventures--The Wand of Wishing," children can take on the role of one of four PetPets, each with differing strengths and weaknesses, to recover the Wand of Wishing from the evil Archos. This title is an action role-playing game that allows children to explore the world of Petaria with their chosen character while acquiring special items to assist them in their quest for the Wand of Wishing. This title boasts engaging game play for children and colorful graphics.

Sony PSP
