Instructions
Turn on the Sony PlayStation Portable (PSP) console. The system menu should appear.
Scroll over to the "Settings" selection on the far left side of the menu. It looks like a toolbox.
Select "Network Settings" underneath "Settings." Press the "X" button.
Select "Infrastructure Mode" from the prompt.
Select "[New Connection]" from the prompt. This will be the only option available if you have not set up your PSP to connect to a Wi-Fi network.
Select "Scan" from the prompt.
Choose your Wi-Fi network from the list. Usually the closest network will have the highest signal strength.
Enter the security information for your Wi-Fi network into the prompts. You will need to get this information from the person who set up your wireless network.
Select "Easy" from the address settings prompt.
Enter a name for your connection into the prompt. This will be the name that appears in the "Network Settings" menu if you go back to edit the connection.
Wait for the PSP to test the connection. Your PSP will be able to connect through the Wi-Fi network at this point.
Insert a game with online capabilities. Your PSP will automatically connect through your Wi-Fi network.
