How to Convert Amazon Videos to a PSP

Amazon offers videos that can be watched online or downloaded to watch on a computer. Amazon videos, however, are not compatible with the video file format that a PlayStation Portable uses and so can not be played on the portable game console. Converting Amazon videos to PSP-compatible video files can be done on a PC using a video file format converter program. Converting the Amazon video is legal because you have bought it to watch on your own PSP.

Instructions

    • 1

Download and install a video file format converter program that can recognize the Amazon video file format to the PC's desktop (for example, the trial version of Movavi). Run the program.

    • 2

Click the "Add" button on the initial screen of the program. In the window that appears, navigate to the Amazon video file on the hard drive that you want to convert for PSP use. Highlight the video file with the mouse. Press the "Open" button to select the file, which will close the window.

    • 3

Select "PSP" from the drop-down menu next to the "Output Format" tab. Select the "Video Same as Input" box so the converted PSP-compatible video will be saved to the same location as the original video file.

    • 4

Deselect the "Video Same as Input" checkbox on the front of the video file format converter program. Press "Settings." Select a resolution of "320x240" from the drop-down menu next to "Video Res" in the window that appears. Also select "Normal" from the drop-down menu below "320x240." Click the "OK" button to close the window.

Click the "Convert" button on the initial screen of the program, and the Amazon file will be converted and saved to the PC's hard drive. Quit the video file format converter program after the conversion is finished.
