How to Download PSP Custom Themes

The Sony PSP is a portable media device that is capable of playing video games, movies, music and many other things. Like most computing devices, customizing is key to keeping the consumer happy. Custom themes help accomplish this. The PlayStation Network Store is full of themes that will help set your PSP apart.

  Turn on your PSP. Navigate through the settings menu until you get to the Network Settings section. Select it by pressing X. Make sure you have network access. If you do not, select New Connection. Select Infrastructure and then Scan. Select your wifi hot spot from the list of available networks. Press X to test your connection.

  Navigate all the way to the right in the PSP menu to reach the PlayStation Network Store. Select that icon to be brought into the PSN store. Select Themes from the left menu.

  Browse through the available custom themes and select as many as you'd like. Some are free. If you are purchasing themes, you will need to link a credit card to your account or have PlayStation points. You will be allowed to do either at checkout. After you check out, wait as the theme downloads onto your PSP, then exit the PSN Store.

  Go back to your settings menu and select Theme. Select Custom Theme. Press the X button to apply your new theme.
