Aquiring PSP Update
Insert the Memory Stick card into the card slot on the PSP. Connect the PSP to your computer using the USB cable.
Turn the PSP on. Go to the "System Menu." Go to "Settings." Select "USB Mode." Your computer will detect the PSP.
Click "My Computer." Select "PSP/Removable Disk." This will open the root directory of the Memory Stick inside your PSP.
Right-click on a blank area on your desktop. Select "New Folder." Right-click the new folder and select "Rename." Rename the folder to "PSP".
Open the PSP folder. Select "New Folder." Right-click the new folder and select "Rename." Rename the folder to "GAME".
Open the "GAME" folder. Select "New Folder." Right-click the new folder and select "Rename." Rename the folder to "UPDATE". Make sure that all folder names are fully capitalized.
Download the latest PSP update from "Resources." Save it to the recently created "UPDATE" folder.
Turn the PSP off and remove the Memory Stick.
Applying PSP Update
Turn the PSP on. Wait for the system menu to load.
Insert the Memory Stick with the PSP update you just added.
Scroll to the "GAME" icon. Select "Memory Stick." Select "Update."
