How to Access WiFi Hotspots With a PSP

Connecting your PSP to a Wi-Fi connection will allow you to browse the web, download games and movies, and take advantage of the network feature that some games have. How you connect the PSP to Wi-Fi is similar to most devices; search for a Wi-Fi connection, enter a password, and connect. Of course you will have to obtain the password (if any) from the administrator of the hotspot.

Instructions

    • 1

Turn on the PSP. Go to the Home menu.

    • 2

Scroll to Settings and select "Network Settings." Select "Infrastructure Mode."

    • 3

Select "New Connection." Select "Scan" and press "Right" on the directional pad. This will search for any available Wi-Fi connections.

    • 4

Select the Wi-Fi hotspot that you want to connect to. Enter a name for this hotspot or leave it as is.

    • 5

Enter the Wi-Fi password. If not applicable, leave blank and press "Right" on the directional pad.

    • 6

Select "Easy." Press "Right" on the directional pad. You will have one more chance to enter a custom name for the hotspot.

    • 7

Verify that you have entered the correct information. Press "Right" on the directional pad. Press "X" to save the settings.

    • 8

Select "Test Connection." If the connection is successful, your PSP will be connected to the hotspot you selected.
