How to Fix PSP Error 8002014C

Many people who own the Sony PSP have experienced an error when trying to play some of their user-created (homebrew) games. Your PSP can play homebrew games whether you are running PSP Firmware 1.50 or custom firmware, which is firmware that is not illegal, but is not endorsed or supported by Sony. The 8002014C error just means that you have saved your homebrew game in the wrong place. Getting rid of the error takes an easy fix.

Right-click your game and click "Copy" to place the game on your computer's clipboard. To play the game, paste it into your GAME150 or GAME folder, depending on which firmware you are running. If you are running custom firmware, place the game in the GAME150 folder. If you are running PSP Firmware 1.50, place it in the GAME folder. Right-click the correct folder and click "Paste."
