How to Connect the Component AV Cable to My PSP

The PSP, or PlayStation Portable, is a multimedia device. While it is primarily a handheld gaming system, it is also capable of audio playback, video playback, displaying photos, playing high-resolution movies in the form of UMDs (universal media disc) and web browsing. You can connect the PSP to your television using Sony's official component A/V cables. Connecting these will produce both the video and sound of the PSP on your TV.

  Turn off the PSP.

  Connect the single line end of the component cable to the "TV OUT" port of the PSP. It is located near the headphone jack.

  Connect the A/V pins of the component cable into your TV's A/V ports. The colors of the pins need to match the colors of the A/V ports.

  Turn on the PSP. Go to the menu screen. Go to "Settings."

  Enable "TV OUT."
- 6
  Turn on the television. Place it in A/V mode. What would be displayed on your PSP will now be displayed on your TV.
