PSP Headset Instructions

The PSP headset is an accessory for Sony's Playstation Portable game system (PSP). The headset includes both headphones and a microphone. It's compatible with Sony PSP games such SOCOM 2 and Fireteam Bravo. The newer version of the PSP, the Slim Sony PSP (or PSP-2000), can also operate the program Skype (which provides users with the ability to make free worldwide calls) in conjunction with the headset.
  1. Connecting the Headset to the Remote Control

    • The Sony PSP Headset is sold with a "remote control," an additional cord needed to operate the microphone in conjunction with the headphones. Begin by attaching the headset to the remote control by plugging the headphone jack into the remote control.

Plugging the Headset into the PSP

    • With the headset plugged into the remote control, plug the remote control jack into the Sony PSP. Your headset is now ready to use.

    Using the Headset

    • Power on the PSP and insert a game that's compatible with the headset, such as SOCOM 2. When you're in a match, you will be able to communicate with other players through the microphone. The microphone body is adjustable; configure it to be comfortable. If you wish to turn the microphone off, but still use the headset, you can press MUTE on the remote control.
